2009 ACM AWARDS - PLAN YOUR PARTY

If there's one thing you can count on at the ACM awards, it's that you'll see plenty of cowboy boots and cowboy hats.
These two fashion pieces keep country stars true to their roots at even the most formal events. If that's what the stars are
wearing on the red carpet and backstage, what better theme for your ACM viewing party? Don't forget, the highlights of any
gathering is the food. Be sure to check out our delicious and easy recipes.
- Attire: Guests should wear cowboy boots and cowboy hats. They can choose to dress them up or dress them down with the clothing of their choice, but these two accessories are mandatory at this party.
- Decor: Go casual with your decorations and include everything that says "cowboy." See our helpful tips below.
- Fun: Download and print our ACM ballot so your guests can pick who they think will win. The person with the most correct picks wins a door prize.
PARTY TIPS
Tip 1:
Instead of a table cloth, layer different colors of bandanas down the table as a runner.
Tip 2:
For a centerpiece, take a cowboy boot, put a vase in the heel and let only the flowers show out the top.
Tip 3:
Include kids in the fun and let them play photographer for the night.
Tip 4:
Pass out blank 3x5 cards and markers before each performance. Let your guests score the artists' performances and
see who gets a 10.
Tip 5:
Before and after the show, play CDs from ACM nominated artists.
