Alexandra Demetree's music career started at the age of two when her grandmother "hired" her to stand on the pool table and sing Christmas carols for her bridge group.
That did it... from that moment on, Alexandra hasn't stopped singing!
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Alexandra grew up listening to everything from Motown to country to her favorite belty divas. She performed widely throughout the city, and took advantage of every opportunity she could; some of these included performing for First Lady Barbara Bush, singing at Walt Disney World, and soloing the National Anthem at the Toyota Gator Bowl. As a homegrown Southern girl and eldest child in a close-knit family, it was a leap of faith when Alexandra spread her wings and attended Northwestern University, where she continued to grow as an artist. There, she completed NU's well-renowned musical theater program, and sang constantly, even getting to tour in Cape Town, South Africa.
After graduation, Alexandra promptly moved to Music City to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a recording artist. Once there, she began working with SSM Nashville, and recorded her first album. Alexandra began performing both locally and throughout the Southeast, and eventually released her first single, "Pick Me Up," which was played by stations around the nation.
AD's music is the culmination of all of her hard work and determination. It's a little fun, a little soulful, and a lot.... her. Enjoy!
