13-year-old Analise Malick signed with Lamon Records in July and traveled to Nashville to begin work on her first 4 song EP. Analise hails from Lake Norman, North Carolina and has been exploring pop and country music all her life. She remembers beginning to sing at the age of 6. “My parents tell me that I’ve been singing since the day I was born! I sing in the car, at school, and even in the shower,” Analise says. “One of my very best friends started taking singing lessons, and I begged to take voice lessons too.” Since then she has taken up guitar and banjo, while also trying her hand at songwriting. Her biggest influences are Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, The Band Perry, and Bruno Mars. Her bubbly personality shines through in the vocal booth at Quad Studios Nashville as she dances along while she sings. Dancing and being able to bring people to their feet, she says, is her favorite quality in today’s music. One she also hopes to bring to her new fans at Lamon Records. The 8th grader also enjoys skiing and swimming. She values her friends and family most and lives by their encouraging words to her: “Do your best and forget the rest!” Analise brings a fresh energy to the label and a brand of pop country all her own. “I am very thankful for the opportunity to work with Dave Moody and the team at Lamon Records,” she says. “My dream is to sing on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry. When I sing I feel happy. I hope when I sing other people feel happy too!” Look for more news on Lamon Records newcomer Analise Malick in the coming months with the release of her first EP and visit www.lamonrecords.com for more details.
