About Ashlee Rose
At 12, she wrote her first song, "Drive", which proved to be a great tune that went on to be included as a Top Ten Finalist in the respected International Songwriting Competition. That same year, being featured at 14 in "Seventeen Magazine" after being named to "America's Top Ten Teen Rock Bands" brought a flurry of well deserved media to the young teen's doorstep. The music industry took notice of her talents as by age 15, she carried distinctions of "Rising Star Award Winner" through MyTexasMusic and "Horizon Award Winner" through an international music network and had a private showcase with a mojor record label at Austin's SXSW. Her profile was further elevated by winning top honors in every talent competition she entered. She has been twice nominated for "Best Female Vocalist" in the Texas Music Awards. She also came in first place in the “Battle of the Guitar Gals” at age 17 in which she won a sponsorship with Daisy Rock Guitars and a brand new Daisy Rock Electric Guitar.
She's shared stages with Pat Green, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Kevin Fowler, Cory Morrow, Susan Gibson, among many others and wowed audiences all over Texas with the usual, "I have to follow Ashlee?" from her fellow musicians.
Ashlee released a 5 song self-titled EP at age 15 on TEG record which was followed up with a full length blues-rock album, "Iron Roses". Six long years later, Ashlee has recorded a brand new album inspired by her trips around the world. The new release, "Songs In A Suitcase" is an eclectic mix of musical styles revolving around Ashlee's sultry voice and a mix of acoustic raw instruments.
