The Drew Davis Band Biography
All the members of the Drew Davis Band already had separate careers in music, but with Davis' persistence, they came together
to form a new group. In 2004, they entered what they thought was a local talent competition. Instead, they found themselves
winning the first level of the Colgate Country Showdown. They also won the state, regional and national titles from the competition,
along with a cash prize of $100,000. Their music also caught the ear of singer-songwriter Jeffrey Steele, who agreed to produce
their debut album.
The band includes Davis (lead singer), Mike Drake (guitar/fiddle), Loren Ellis (guitar/mandolin/banjo), Jay Hawks (drums),
Mo Levone (bass) and Roger Malinowski (keyboards).
