Ryan Holladay   -  Biography

As the youngest performer to ever grace the Grand Ole Opry stage -- he was 5 -- it comes as no surprise that Nashville-based multi-instrumentalist Ryan Holladay would have three records behind him upon reaching his 11th year. The precocious preteen has made appearances on the The Oprah Winfrey Show and Nickelodeon, as well as opened for everyone from Nickel Creek to the legendary Roy Clark. New Kid in Town, the latest from the bluegrass prodigy, features the playing of his father Mark (vocals, guitar), uncle Mike (bass, vocals) and 16-year-old fiddler Tyler Andal and was released on Ricky Skaggs' Skaggs Family label in 2005. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
