
Melissa Lawson Biography
Melissa Lawson, a Texas native and mother of five, began singing in church and school and attended Fort Worth's Performing
Arts High School. In addition to opening for Tracy Byrd, she performed for the Johnny High's Country Music Review and appeared
on Good Morning Texas and Good Day Dallas.
In 2008, she won Nashville Star, a television show seeking a new country music artist. She was immediately signed to
Warner Bros. Records, which released her first single, "What If It All Goes Right," the song she sang on the show's finale.
Lawson also sang at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China.
