The Red Stick Ramblers Biography
The Red Stick Ramblers emerged from Baton Rouge, La., where Linzay Young, Chas Justus and drummer Glenn Fields were studying
at Louisiana State University in the late 1990s. They quickly developed a following around the Gulf Coast region thanks to
their energetic live shows and Cajun-influenced music. They released their self-titled debut album in 2002.
The group is now a five-piece form: Linzay Young (vocals, fiddle), Kevin Wimmer (fiddle, vocals), Chas Justus (guitar, vocals), Eric Frey (bass, vocals) and Glenn Fields (drums). Marc Savoy was also a co-founder of the band but departed prior to the band's fourth album, Made in the Shade (2007), on Sugar Hill Records.
