Artists: Biography Ricochet
Heath Wright, lead singer of Ricochet, was born April 22, 1967, and raised in Vian, Okla. The band Ricochet was formed after brothers Jeff and Junior Bryant disbanded their own Texas-based band, Lariat, to team with Wright, as well as musicians Ricochet signed to Sony and charted three Top 10 singles in 1996, including the No. 1 hit "Daddy's Money." Their self-titled debut album was certified gold, and they earned a CMA nomination for group of the year in 1997. However, their momentum faded on their second album, and the band left Sony a few years later. Only Wright and Cook, who is also from Vian, Okla., remain from the original lineup. Current members now include Shannon Farmer, Marty Mitchell and Dwayne Dupuy. They released a live album in 2004.
