Josh Thompson Biography
A native of Cedarburg, Wis., Josh Thompson began pouring concrete with his father at the age of 12, giving him firsthand insight
about the reality of hard work. After arriving in Nashville in 2005, he began writing songs and received his first major cut
with "Growing Up Is Getting Old," the title track of Jason Michael Carroll's latest album. Thompson formed a band and generated
a sizable fan base by touring throughout the U.S. His talent as a songwriter and performer eventually led to a record deal
with Columbia Nashville. Thompson's blue-collar lifestyle influences are evident throughout his music, including his first
single and music video, "Beer on the Table." He wrote or co-wrote 10 songs featured on his upcoming debut album, Way Out
Here. The project was produced by Michael Knox, best known for his work with Jason Aldean. The project featured the singles
"Beer on the Table," "Way Out Here" and "Won't Be Lonely Long."
