About Backroad Anthem
In the fall of 2014 while opening a show for Justin Moore in Little Rock, Justin’s manager, Peter Hartung, was so impressed with them that he asked them to come to Nashville, and shortly thereafter signed them to his management company, L3 Entertainment, home to not only Justin Moore but Dustin Lynch and Jordan Rager as well. When asked what attracted Peter to Backroad Anthem he said “This is the first band I’ve seen in years that looks and performs collectively like a band. They are all in it from start to finish and the energy, musicianship, songs, look and stage presence are amazing!”
Sometimes the stars just line up the right way and the band started working with the young and highly sought after co producer of Luke Bryan’s current album “Kill The Lights,” Jody Stevens. Jody added Tommy Cecil to the song writing/producer mix and between the two of them they have delivered an exceptional 5 song EP that debuted on the ITunes Top Country Albums charts at #31. The title track "Torn," is a highly stylistic rock ballad that showcases the group’s outstanding vocal abilities. Other cuts include the ‘make you get up and dance’ “Disco Ball”, the rocking, fun “After Midnight,” the infectious “No Show” and the sexy track “Smooth Move.”
Crisscrossing the country in a sprinter van and trailer, Backroad Anthem has built a large and growing fan base playing their own headlining shows for clubs and colleges and opening for national acts such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jake Owen, Little Big Town, Sam Hunt, Justin Moore, Eli Young Band, and more.
They started as a group of acquaintances with a common love for music, but by the end of their first performance, they knew they had found lightning in a bottle!
In just its first six months of being a band, Backroad Anthem has opened for artists such as Casey Donahew Band, Dustin Lynch, and Eli Young Band. In June, the band will share the stage with Toby Keith and Luke Bryan at the Thunder Mountain Country Music Festival. Backroad will also release their first EP on May 2, 2013, which will include 5 songs and 2 live bonus tracks.
The band started as a group of acquaintances with a common love for music, but by the end of their first performance the band knew they had caught lightening in a bottle. With the ability to play off each other, engaging a crowd came naturally and they quickly found the identity and sound they desired to express to fans. “With these pieces in place, we’ll be able to build a fan base that will fall in love with our music,” Craig explained. “The stars are aligning for this band.”
