Bonnie Bishop is a country rock singer-songwriter from Texas, who grew up in Houston, and moved from Austin, Texas, to Nashville, in 2007. In 2008, she performed at the Austin City Limits Music Festival. Her single "Sweet on the Down Low" was on the Texas music charts for more than six months.
Classically trained, Bishop had previously considered pursuing a career in opera.
