Brian Kathol grew up in a small mountain town in Southern Oregon. Some of his earliest memories are listening to Merle Haggard while fishing with his dad. Brian always showed an interest in music, he sang solos at elementary school music productions, and began picking his Dad’s old guitar at a tender age. Brian got his first guitar at the age of 15, and soon he was playing gigs with a local punk rock band. When Brian was 18, he signed up for the US Army as a Combat Medic. His love of God and Country has kept him in army boots for the past 12 years. He draws inspiration from his two combat deployments, his divorce, and other Outlaw Country artists. Some of the most influential artists in his life have been Jamey Johnson, Waylon Jennings, George Jones, and Hank Williams Jr. Brian currently lives in Augusta, GA, where he serves his country as a Nurse at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. He enjoys life in the southeast and has taken to the country life like a cow to cud. He has become a regular performer at Wing –N- Things in Washington, GA, where he does solo acoustic sets. Brian’s sound is real country, he sings in a deep, baritone voice. With song topics dealing with everything from religion and war, to drugs, divorce, and even the birth of his baby girl. He has a laidback style of playing guitar, and his vocals are met with a bluesy groove, and some elements of classic rock. Everybody knows when Brian takes the stage, once he belts out the first note to a song, his voice demands attention. Brian is in his element when he is singing and playing for the fans of good ol' country music, and when he is up on stage, everyone knows it is time to drink, dance, and party!
