Pop country singer Brynn Marie (Brynn Marie Cirota) was raised in Carmichaels, Pennsylvania, Greene County, some 60 miles south of Pittsburgh. She loved singing and began singing with her elementary school chorus, quickly earning solo spots. She was in a Christian band for a time as a teen but found herself drawn to country music, and after winning a talent contest sponsored by radio station WKKW in 2005, she applied herself to a music career full time, even giving up a spot as captain of the dance team at California University of Pennsylvania, which she was attending at the time. Assembling a band, she started playing her music in earnest, and found herself in much demand as a vocalist and opening act, working with artists like Darius Rucker, Darryl Worley, Joe Dee Messina, Loretta Lynn, Terri Clark, Mark Wills, Aaron Tippin, and Phil Vassar, among others. She self-released an EP, Start Now, in 2008. Selected by Armed Forces Entertainment, she made a three-week tour that same year through bases in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Djibouti over the Christmas holiday season. ~ Steve Leggett, Rovi
