The dean of Texas songwriting, Cindy Walker wrote over 100 country songs, including "Dream Baby (How Long Must I Dream)," "Bubbles in My Beer," "Take Me in Your Arms (And Hold Me)," and "In the Misty Moonlight," covered by Lone Star institutions like Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys, Ernest Tubb, and Al Dexter, as well as Eddy Arnold and Hank Snow. Born in Mexia, TX, in 1925, Walker wrote more than two dozen songs for Wills, and released her own singer/songwriter album, Words and Music, in 1964.
