Country singer/songwriter Colleen McFarland was born the youngest of nine children and grew up near Jennings, MO. She turned professional at 15, but went on to earn a degree in music performance at the University of Missouri in St. Louis. Relocating to the Northeast, she played clubs and festivals while also doing voice-over and jingle work. She self-released her albums Speaking in Rhymes and Three Miles from Odessa. In 2003, she moved to Nashville. She self-released her third album, Beautiful Lie, on her 9th Child label on May 1, 2006, and toured Europe in 2007.
