About Con Hunley
Produced by Grammy-winning producer Norro Wilson, Hunley’s 2004 release, Sweet Memories, was selected by CMT.com as one of their “Top 10 Country Albums of 2004.” Hunley teamed with Wilson again for his 2006 album, Shoot From The Heart, featuring contributions from some of Nashville’s finest songwriters including Dean Dillon, Hank Cochran and Kim Williams.
In 2011, Hunley released Lost and Found: The MCA Capitol Years. Co-produced by Hunley and Wilson, Lost and Found is a compilation of songs that Hunley originally recorded in the ‘80s on MCA and Capitol Records, some of which were released as singles but didn’t made it onto an album.
Hunley's latest effort is a new gospel album which was released on May 15, 2012. Featuring a guest appearance by gospel icon Bill Gaither, the CD contains several new songs as well as Hunley's soulful interpretation of some well-known gospel standards.
Besides performing and writing music, Hunley enjoys squeezing in a round of golf whenever possible. He participates in celebrity golf tournaments around the country, and for years hosted one of his own in his hometown of Knoxville, TN, which raised over a million dollars for charities benefiting underprivileged children.
But his first love remains the music and performing and recording is more meaningful to him now than ever before. "It's all about the music now," he says, "and I am very fortunate to have another chance to do the thing I truly love." He is quick to add, "I am so blessed."
