Georgia native, born in Valdosta, Crista Lynn started singing when she was only 4 years old. Singing with her hairbrush in her room for hours until at age 15 she begged her parents to let her record one song for her birthday. Having no knowledge of how the music industry worked at the time she learned of a local in home studio that would allow her to have studio time for only $200 so Crista had found her birthday wish. After spending a few hours in the studio, the producer, who unbeknownst to Crista or her family was a former member of the world renowned group Toto, had recorded Crista singing 8 songs rather than just one as originally planned. He told her dad that he believed she truly had a gift and recommended that they duplicate 50 copies of Crista Lynn's favorite covers just to see if they would sell. Very excited by the compliments she received, Crista decided to buy a few backing tracks at a local store and go to the local flea market and perform a few songs to try to sell her newly recorded cd's. Much to her surprise, in just 2 short hours Crista had sold all 50 of her cd's and had more people asking when she would get more copies made. As fate would have it, a few of the cd's she sold at this little flea market fell into the hands of local club owners and they called Crista's father to try to hire her and thus began many years of performing anywhere from the local honky tonk and dive joints, to fairs, to opening for some of country's biggest names such as Shenandoah and Doug Stone, just to name a few, doing over 185 venues yearly. Crista Lynn would later go on to record 6 albums, do American Idol at 16 years old, Nashville Star at 18, America's Got Talent at 20, and making it to the second round of auditions for NBC's hit television show, The Voice at 28. She was awarded Georgia Entertainer of the Year, Indie Entertainer of the Year, Georgia Vocalist of the Year, & Georgia Album of the Year. Stylistically speaking Crista Lynn is inspired by artists of all types ranging from the legendary Patsy Cline to the adored Adele, the feisty Miranda Lambert to original work of her own. This is a dream that truly resonates through every lyric and song she performs, keeping audiences coming back for more.
