Eli Tellor is making some waves and ready to swim in some deeper water. Eli began to sing as a young boy and and his passion for Country Music never faded as he got older. Despite a troubled life in his early years, Eli chose to overcome all of that and music was his escape. He started writing songs at a young age and continues to this day. Eli has been performing all over Southern Illinois and beyond regularly since 2004 and he continues to wow fans with his singing, playing and writing abilities. He has played at more fairs, special events, wineries, clubs and 'honkey tonks' than he can count. He has also played at special events including fundraisers for various causes, telethons, St Judes Childrens Hospital, private parties etc. And that list continues to grow. He has also played at many venues in Nashville, Tn. such as The Wildhorse Saloon, Tootsies, The Nashville Palace, Wannabe's, The Club, and more. He participated in a pre-CMA radio show held at a local hotel several years ago with up and coming artists such as William Michael Morgan , Hunter Hayes, etc. That same day he had the privilege of meeting ASCAP executive Pat Rolfe who spent some time with him to talk to him about his writing abilities and how the industry works in that arena and he had the change to play one of his songs for her after taking a tour of the ASCAP facility. He has had the privilege of opening for some major acts such as Diamond Rio, Tracy Lawrence, Low Cash Cowboys, Eli Young Band, Brett Eldredge , Jason Jones, Brandy Clarke, Jason Meadows, Gene Watson, John Michael Montgomery, Mo PItney, and Vince Vance and Gospel Artist Jason Crabb. He is scheduled to open soon for Mark Chestnut. Eli performed with Steve Hornbeak and The Main Street Players live at the Bridgestone arena for the Predators Hockey Game. He has played 'after parties' for the rock band Heart, and also for Kid Rock. In his early years he entered a contest for GAC and had his locally made video "Doctor" featured on their network. . In 2014 he entered the Colgate Country Showcase event and made it all the way to the finals for his region. After winning the finals round he went on to be one of five artists in the nation to get the chance to perform at the Ryman Auditorium where many legends have played before him. Eli states "Just to stand on that stage where I knew many legendary artists, some still with us and some not , have stood before and performed was the biggest moment of my life; my next goal is I hope to get to play at the Grand Ole Opry". Following the Colgate Country Showdown performance that show was featured on ABC, CMT, and GAC. Eli does have a Nashville produced CD which is self -entitled "Eli Tellor". Steve Hornbeak was the producer for that project and engaged some very qualified writers from Music City and beyond to help on that project. One of the songs on the CD is entitled "Country Girl Touch" and it has became an "Eli fans favorite". In October of 2015 Eli has just released a video of that song which can be viewed on this page. Eli's goal is not only to play the Grand Ole Opry but to be signed by a label and become a major artist. He has paid his dues and he's ready to move on to bigger and better things.
