Contemporary Country
Ella Mae Bowen is a powerful new voice in the world of country music. Although just 17, Entertainment Weekly described Ella Mae's voice as having "an urgency beyond her years." Hailing from the small town of Walhalla, South Carolina, Ella Mae began writing and performing her own songs at age seven before moving to Nashville. Her commanding voice and honest songwriting earned her the support of artists such as Keith Urban, Hunter Hayes, Seth Bolt (Needtobreathe), and Emmylou Harris. In 2011, Ella Mae began working with manager Tracy Gershon (Red Light Management) and graced the stage of the Grand Ole Opry for the first time. That same year, her version of “Holding Out for a Hero” appeared on the Footloose soundtrack, making Ella Mae the only unsigned artist on the album. She proved to be the soundtrack’s breakout star, as the music video received over 3.5 million hits on YouTube.

Ella Mae is currently hard at work on her debut album to be released next year. Keep an eye out for upcoming live performances, including opening dates for Hunter Hayes. Ella Mae can be found on Facebook, Youtube, Twitter.
