At 23 years old, Country Singer/Songwriter Gina Wells (Heather Regina Harrelson Wells) decided to embark on her dream of being a part of country music. Born in Florence, SC, on May 21, 1990, music was evident in her being at an early age. Singing was inevitably a love in her life, and started singing karaoke in Myrtle Beach, SC, on family vacations at the age of nine. Her musical skills were further embraced through learning the violin and playing in the school orchestras from age eleven to her junior year of high school at West Florence High School. Along with Orchestra, she also participated in the school choir from the the third grade throughout her middle school years. Other extracurricular activities included cheerleading, gymnastics, and volunteer organizations in high school. She learned how to play the guitar in high school and was self-taught. She graduated with honors in 2008 and moved on to follow in the footsteps of her father and enlisted in the U.S. Army August of 2008. Serving in the military was also something in her life that she felt was important to her to do, to show love and pride for her country and to serve. Attending basic training in Missouri and her training for her job as a Medical Laboratory Technician in San Antonio, Texas was the grounds for the beginning of her military career where she would be stationed at Fort Stewart, GA, alongside her husband, James Brandon Wells, also in the military. They met prior to joining the military together, and married December of 2008. Gina always had a longing in her heart to pursue music, and after finishing her Associates in Science and on her way to finishing her Bachelors in Science she decided to take on her dream. After proudly serving in the military for 5 years she made a jump and got in touch with Eric Winbush, CEO of Dadd's Production, in Savannah, GA. After a consultation and organization of recording time, Gina was in the studio recording her first extended single. Her original song was written to share her experience of her husband serving away from home twice and the heartaches of watching him leave for extended periods of time, along with the excitement of watching him return. The EP also contains cover songs from the Country Genre. She finally began working towards her dream, and her heart skipped a beat with the feeling of singing and recording songs. Her goal is to be a positive contribution to the the genre of Country music, and to write songs and perform them to touch others lives in many ways. Her album is due to release mid-June 2014, stay posted!
