Heather Lucas was born and raised in Orlando, FL. Her mom was a music teacher and her dad a passionate writer. They were always very supportive of Heather’s hunger for performance as she spent her early childhood years between dance lessons and choir practice at her church.
Growing up she attended a Magnet Program High School in Visual and Performing Arts, which only added to her love of music and theater. It was no surprise when upon graduating high school, she packed her bags and headed to NYC where she graduated with a degree in Theater Performance and soon after began to pursue a career as a singer songwriter.
While in the Big Apple, Heather worked at Southern Hospitality, the restaurant co-created by Justin Timberlake. Producer and NSYNC band member Chris Kirkpatrick, who frequented the restaurant, heard her songs and a few weeks later they were recording.
This was only the beginning! Soon after she drove down to Miami where she met with Grammy nominated, multi-platinum producer Chris Rodriguez “C-Rod” and they immediately clicked. Together they have recorded an album with a unique edge that captures true authentic southern rock melodies and genuine heartfelt lyrics. No one describes her music better than Heather when she says “We have guitars and banjos flying off the charts, drums that make you want to shake your hips and lyrics that will make you sing at the top of your lungs!”
