About Holly Lynn
Hailing from Linton, Indiana, Holly began cultivating her musical talents at an early age. With private music instruction and participation in school band and choir, Holly gained valuable performing experience throughout her teenage years. Knowing that she wanted to make a career of music one day, Lynn also participated in musical theatre, drama, sang on live television, and gave benefit concerts for local churches or charities. Growing up in a small town allowed Holly to develop the musical “roots” that eventually became her “wings” to pursue her dreams in Music City—Nashville, Tennessee.
After graduating as the valedictorian of her high school class, Holly moved to Nashville to attend prestigious Belmont University. Holly graduated summa cum laude, earning a Bachelor of Music in Commercial Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance. While at Belmont, Holly was a member of several performing ensembles, while earning honors as the “Top School of Music Student” and was named to the Dean’s List every semester.
With classical and commercial training behind her powerful pipes, Holly has been able to establish a presence in both country and gospel music in Nashville. Holly’s music ministry has allowed her to spread the gospel throughout churches in Middle Tennessee and to thousands of listeners through her performances on the Nashville Cowboy Church—located in the historic Texas Troubadour Theatre. This service is broadcast into over 110 countries, reaching millions through WSM Radio, XM Satellite Radio, and WWCR (World Wide Country Radio).
On the country scene, Holly has recently developed a “Women of Country” review show that highlights the hits of women in country music, past and present. From Kitty Wells to Faith Hill, this show is a favorite among tourists in Nashville. Holly has performed in Nashville venues such as Edgehill Studios, Rudi’s Country Music Café, The Nashville Palace, BB Kings, and The Sheraton Hotel.
As the daughter of a Vietnam veteran, and the granddaughter of a WWII veteran, Holly carries a deep sense of patriotism for our country, our veterans, and our troops who currently serve. With her versatile singing abilities, Holly is a highly sought after vocalist for the National Anthem at sporting events and patriotic ceremonies. After a Belmont basketball game, Holly was approached by country artist Vince Gill—who strongly commended her traditional, accapella performance of the anthem. Holly’s rendition has earned her repeat invitations to perform for the Indiana Pacers (NBA), Memphis Grizzlies (NBA), Indianapolis 500 Qualification races (IRL), Nashville Sounds (PCL, AAA—Milwaukee Brewers), and the Indianapolis Indians (AAA-Pittsburgh Pirates). In early 2009, Holly had the distinct honor of singing for 3,000 Indiana National Guard members at Lucas Oil Stadium to welcome them home from a recent tour of duty.
In 2011, Holly released her first 4-song EP with SeaWaveMusic. Holly's husband, Lee Marcum, produced and arranged all of the cuts on this product. Entitled "Joyride," this independent project also includes Holly's first music video, directed and produced by Saylors Brothers Entertainment. "I'm so excited about this music and the positive message my CD and DVD will bring to my fans," says Lynn. With songs that have been written by several Nashville Christian and country songwriters, this project creates a blend of inspirational country music that conveys a message of faith, patriotism, and love.
