...being different is beautiful. Among other things, it means you’ve got the sense to think for yourself in a world where everyone else is trying to be everyone else.”

Known mononymously as IMAJ, the artist fans everywhere call their “Country Darling” is a multi-talented singer-songwriter, visual artist, novelist, actress and humanitarian. Born in Miami Beach, FL to a model mother and actor father, 80’s TV icon Philip Michael Thomas (Tubbs of Miami Vice), IMAJ grew up in a “utopian environment where creativity was encouraged.” She sings in 6 different languages, plays guitar and sells out her 2 hour Vegas style show that includes five costume changes, singing while horseback & race car riding and performing with her full band.

She just released her debut album, appropriately self-titled, IMAJ. The CD is all at once country yet genre-defying. Reflecting the anomaly that she is, this album has a native heart, childlike freedom and old soul. Imaj gracefully blends traditional, folk, bluegrass, Beatles-pop and operatic war cries with lyrics and a pure vocal range as wide and deep as her spirit.

IMAJ was invited this past summer to Nashville to float in the CMA Fest Kick-Off parade as well as perform in the 2012 CMA Fest. IMAJ is currently on tour with the multi-platinum country singer, Collin Raye. She recently completed a tour for the support of policemen and firefighters with the renowned singer, Billy Dean. She has opened and has been a special guest performer for noted artist like Lorrie Morgan, Gretchen Wilson and Neal McCoy.

IMAJ is a true artist with endless cross-over appeal and has the most sought after trait in the industry; longevity.
