(James Todd Johnson) was born and raised in Newark OH.. He goes by his middle name Todd but uses his full name as an artist. Todd has been singing seriously since his teenage years. His musical influences are varied and eclectic but feels his vocal strengths are best suited for the musical stage and church. As a young man Todd's deep voice landed him leading roles in high school and community theater musicals. Todd supplied the voice of the man eating plant (Audrey 2) in a production of (Little Shop Of Horror's) and also played (Jud Fry) in (Oklahoma). He was often cast as the villain because of his voice and size. Throughout Todd's 20's he'd spend much of his time touring the church circuit and traveling with the gospel group - (Festival Of Praise and The Spurrlow's). He spent most of his thirties away from the music scene. Only singing on occasion. In 2002 he joined forces with gospel artists (Keith Brown) and (Sandra Payne). Together they recorded a collection of 70's and 80's pop cover tunes. Five songs from that endeavor titled (Cover Project) are available on CdBaby and iTunes. Todd is now in his 40's and has returned to his gospel roots. His 2 latest offerings are called (The Solid Rock) and (Where Dreams Come True). Also available on CdBaby and iTunes. Each CD contains songs that will touch your heart and stir your soul. Thank you so much for your time, and interest. God bless!
