Jetset Getset (JSGS) is a teenage country music group whose high-energy stage presence and catchy songs with meaningful lyrics appeal to fans of all ages. Fronted by singers Tori Little, Avery Eliason and Sadie Loveland, JSGS specializes in 3-part harmonies and has been compared by some critics to a younger version of the Dixie Chicks. The singing trio is backed on stage by lead guitarist Jason Owens, rhythm guitarist Justen Jette, bass guitarist Paul Kelley, drummer Gillian Bowman and keyboard player Terry Ranck (a.k.a. “Grandpa”), the only adult who performs with JSGS on a regular basis.
Based in Dearborn County, Indiana, Jetset Getset was formed in 2011 by manager Kelli Jette, a former music teacher and now a university psychology professor, whose initial goal was for the group to perform mostly at regional fairs and festivals. However, what began as a sideline has since evolved into a full-time obsession. As their fan base grew, JSGS began testing the waters farther from home, giving performances as far south as Virginia and as far north as Minnesota.
In the spring of 2012, Jetset Getset was performing their signature song “Indiana Baby” on “The Shotgun Red Variety Show,” a nationally syndicated program on the RFD television network in Nashville, when retired record producer and long-time radio personality Jack Gale saw them. Gale fell in love with the girls’ harmonies and contacted Jette the next day, to see if JSGS wanted to sign a recording contract. Although JSGS had previously released a homemade CD, the prospect of having an album professionally produced in Nashville appealed to them. They signed a contract with Gale, who came out of retirement and reactivated his former record label, Playback Records.
Gale and co-producer Jim Pierce recruited some of Nashville’s top session players to perform with Jetset Getset, on the album “Saturday Night.” They include guitarist Kerry Marx (who worked with Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash), drummer Eddie Bayers (George Jones, Dolly Parton), acoustic guitarist Michael Spriggs (Trisha Yearwood, Eddie Rabbitt), bass guitarist Duncan Mullins (Brooks & Dunn, Amy Grant), pianist Michael Rojas (Martina McBride, Lady Antebellum), fiddler Rob Hajacos (Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney) and fiddler/mandolin player Wanda Vick (Travis Tritt, Billy Ray Cyrus).
Jetset Getset has performed at the Kentucky State Fair, Indiana State Fair, Minnesota State Fair, Kentucky Speedway, Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill in Cincinnati, Hard Rock Cafe Nashville and other venues.
“These are incredibly talented teenagers, who want to set a positive example for other kids,” Jette says. “Audiences who have never seen Jetset Getset fall in love with them, wherever they perform.”
The music of Jetset Getset is available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Music and at www.JetsetGetset.com.
