About Jill and Julia
Before they were in their teens, Jill and Julia were studying piano, guitar and voice (classical as well as speech-level methods) and almost immediately applied it to their craft of performing. The girls made their appearances on stage at various beauty pageants in the Mid-West, performed at state and county fairs, sang at the opening of professional sporting events, and placed at city and regional vocal competitions.
Although familiar with Broadway charts, pop music and the standards of the Great American Songbook, Jill and Julia's interest had always been in the country-western genre. They have been influenced by such artists as, The Band Perry, Miranda Lambert, and Kacey Musgraves.
While continuing to play regular gigs in Las Vegas, and with the production and release of a Demo CD, the girls' fan base started to expand beyond the Las Vegas metropolitan area. Accordingly, a large independent record label located in Nashville has contracted with the girls to record an album of their original songs. For the present, however, Las Vegas remains their home.
