Not to be confused with the new age pianist Jim Wilson (or with several other musicians of the same name), this Jim Wilson is a Memphis-based singer/songwriter performing country music. He grew up in Arkansas, where he began playing the guitar at the age of ten. By junior high school, he was playing professionally in a band. He moved first to Austin, TX, then to Memphis, TN, where he built up a following locally, while also venturing to Nashville to play in such venues as the renowned Bluebird Café. He released his debut album, Simple Things, in 2001. His second album, This Old House, was released by Ringo Records on September 27, 2005. ~ William Ruhlmann, Rovi
