Kaylee King is a teen Country/Pop singer songwriter from LaGrange, GA. She's enjoying the release of her debut single, Carried Away, which you can download from iTunes, Google Play, Amazon or hear on internet radio. Her second single, Afraid, will be released on June 10, 2014. Her hopes are to inspire other teens to express themselves through music by singing and writing from the heart.
She started singing at the age of two, and has not stopped since. Kaylee would sing any and everywhere as a child. Kaylee first expressed her passion for singing and her interest in performing professionally at the age of 7. From that moment, she has worked diligently to make that dream become a reality.
Kaylee's first public performance was in her 3rd grade talent show in 2009. She sang Just Wanna Be With You from High School Musical 3. She followed that performance with a small solo later in the year at her school's Christmas program. She again performed in the school's talent show during her 4th grade year. In 2010, Kaylee began to sing on the church praise team and became involved with a local community theater. Kaylee's first role in the theater was an Oompa Loompa in Willy Wonka Jr. In April 2011, Kaylee was cast as the role of Duffy in the theater's production of Annie. Throughout the spring and summer of 2011 Kaylee performed at various church and spectator events, such as singing the National Anthem at Atlanta Motor Speedway twice and the Relay for Life fundraiser.
She started out 2012 with a bang as she performed the National Anthem at a Columbus Cottonmouths hockey game. Kaylee continued to work hard and performed in many events throughout 2012 such as Henry's Got Talent in Stockbridge, GA and North Georgia Idol in Blairsville, GA. She also had roles in the musicals Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr and Little Women and performed the National Anthem at an Atlanta Braves baseball game. Kaylee performed in productions in both school and local theatre of The Little Mermaid Jr and Annie Jr. In 2013, she made her second appearance for the Columbus Cottonmouths and North Georgia Idol, which she won 3rd place and won a recording session with Grammy nominated producer Sean Clyde. She recorded covers of Never Alone by Jim Brickman ft. Lady Antebellum and Blue by Leann Rimes. Kaylee finished out 2013 with a quarterfinal finish in the American Country Star competition and a singing appearance in Hiawassee, GA
