She may speak quietly, but when Kelli Johnson sings, people listen. Johnson's shy demeanor contradicts the powerhouse vocals within. Whether belting out a soulful anthem, or delivering a ballad so tenderly it makes you cry, this songbird connects with her crowd. Her songwriting is pure and honest, and her original tunes have been featured in National TV commercials, Independent Films, political campaigns, and recordings by other artists. Much more than an artist, she is also a promoter of original talent in and around her . She hosts her own TV program, Kelli's Acoustic Crossroads, where she highlights artists and their music. Kelli is also Associate Producer and frequent guest of the Dugger Mountain Music Hall, which is broadcast on The Heartland, The Walk, WEAC TV 24, WMJN TV 29, and APT!
In 2008, she released her first solo project, and hasn't stopped! Her song from that album "Somebody in Alabama Loves You" has beed recorded by The Bluegrass Soul Pickers, Pam Thrower and Shine, and Swiss Recording artist Rick Harris, and caught the recognition of Herd Records CEO Angela Prince. Johnson continued to work with Herd Records in Mobile as a songwriter, with several of her songs being featured in regional and national TV commercials, and she also wrote "Brand New Day" which became the campaign song for 2010 Alabama Gubernatorial Candidate Judge Roy Moore .
In 2011 she won the Alabama State Texaco Country Showdown, and in 2013 released a Praise and Worship single on iTunes- "You Are My Everything" . Her newest single, "Over My Head" recently won Grand Prize in the 2013 Nashville International Summer Songwriting Series hosted by Paramount Song.
