Kendra‘s love for music motivated her to visit Nashville and its world famous Lower Broadway. As she strolled down the sidewalks of that famous strip, she met a musician who directed her to the number one artist development company in Nashville, Makin’ Music LLC. After her initial meetings with Chris Dodson and his staff at Makin’ Music, she was signed to an exclusive artist development contract as well as a record deal on the major independent label, Foremost Records.
This talented young singer and performer has recorded her upcoming first Canadian single “It Was” releasing to Radio – Monday, January 27, 2014.The record was produced by award winning producer, writer and arranger Jeff Jones. Jeff has enjoyed great success over the last 24 years working management and production for Canadian superstar Terri Clark. Kendra is now in the process of shooting her video on the single with award winning director Jeremy Johnson. The video will also be released on Kendra’s first single release date – Monday January 24, 2014.
Kendra is also in the studio on her first U S single planned for release to radio in the U S July 2014. Grammy Award winning Rafe Van Hoy is producing the record. His writing and production projects include number one records by: Steve Azar, Tracy Lawrence, George Jones & Tammy Wynette, the Oak Ridge Boys, Anne Murray, Michael Murphey, Deborah Allen, and many more. Rafe was voted Songwriter of the Century by BMI, and is widely recognized in the music industry as one of the top guitar players, arrangers, and producers in the world.
Kendra is now featured as the special guest performer for the number one band on Lower Broadway in Nashville - The Lower Broadway Band. Kendra and The Lower Broadway Band have recently performed for sold out shows at numerous venues including: Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, Rippy’s, Honky Tonk Central, Paradise Park, The National Underground, Cowboy Kewl, and Cowboy Way Dance Hall & Saloon.
As Kendra prepares for the release of her first single, she will also be performing for numerous events including a benefit for Hamiota District Health Centre. She will also continue performing during rodeos and hockey games, and as the special guest of Lower Broadway Band. She is an exceptionally beautiful young woman with an amazing voice and fascinating charm as an entertainer.
