"Not only have I known Lance Carpenter since before he even made the official move to Nashville, but I've watched him progress as a songwriter and performer into something that country music needs to hear. When he performed for a sold out crowd at The Listening Room, he put on an energy-packed performance with songs like "I Know Jack" but then you could hear a pin drop with emotionally moving songs like "Notches," which just so happens to be one of my favorites. It's very nice to hear true, great music on stage and with Lance Carpenter you can bet you are getting just that." Chris Blair, owner of The Listening Room Café Nashville recording artist Lance Carpenter grew up on a cattle farm in Ozark, Arkansas and taught himself to play guitar in college at Arkansas Tech University where he played football and was a member of the 1999 Gulf South Conference Championship team. Lance made his first trip to Nashville in February 2008 to attend NASI Song Camp. It was on that trip, while sitting in the audience watching a round at Douglas Corner, when Lance realized "that is what I want to do for the rest of my life". Lance has performed with the likes of Toby Keith, Justin Moore, Luke Bryan, Randy Rogers Band, and others and is currently booking dates all across the country for 2014. His self-titled debut album was released in 2013 and has had songs recordied by Due West and Sidewalk Records recording artist Dylan Scott. He currently writes for Parallel Entertainment in Nashville, TN.
