Her strong sense of family has given her a fearless perspective on life as well as
music. Raised in the family tire business while spending loads of time on her
grandparents cattle & chicken farm, Laura developed a hard working ethic with
deep country roots. Most Saturday evenings in her early years, she could be found
enjoying the Grand Ole Opry Show at Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw’s home. These times
kindled dreams of performing at the legendary countrymusic show. So, she began to
hone her vocal skills and acting abilities in musical theater in grammar school and
high school. Every dream takes a detour at some point in time and for Laura it came
from a health issue, CIDP. Determined not to let this be a stop sign in life, she
ventured down the road to the local community college where she learned to front a
live variety show band while performing with the assistance of a walker and later a
cane. Great medical care combined with personal training sessions enabled Laura to
stand on her own two feet.
Frequent trips to Nashville convinced Laura to move to Music City and pursue
a career in country music and now resides in Nashville. She has since opened for
Josh Turner, Rascal Flatts, Travis Tritt, Restless Heart, and George Jones to name a
few. Sang for the Miracle League on theWhite House Lawn, performed at the JFK
Center and the ADA Concert at the Strathmore Theater, and also the 100 year
celebration of the Girl Scouts of America in 2012, inWashington,D.C.
Writing songs became an important piece to her musical puzzle. Grasping life
experiences and love stories for inspiration to tell her version of the story through
song. The album “Songbird” was born! Some of Laura’s works have been featured in
independent film & documentary.Laura is writing her new album with Hit
