About Layla Brisbois
I believe in facing your fears, I believe in speaking your mind, I believe in cherishing the little things in life, and I believe in music. Since I was a little girl, all I wanted to do was perform and sing for people. I used to stand on the ledge in front of my grandparents fireplace and put on shows for my family. For as long as I remember I have loved the feeling I got from singing or performing for people. Music makes me feel things that I can't begin to describe, things that I never thought I would ever feel. It can help you through a situation, it can speak to an event in your life so perfectly, and it can move you in ways you never imagined.
What's my goal? To sing for thousand of screaming people, to win awards for my music, to be a positive role model in a world filled with not so positive ones, to bring people to the Lord, to inspire people, to move people. If I can touch people with my music, i'll have done something. Music has always been in me, and without it i'm not sure who I would be. So, I guess you could say I am happily in pursuit of my dream. I want to sing, I want to be a country music artist, I want to write my music and play my instruments on stage and feel a joy like no other, and I will. I have such faith and confidence in myself and truly believe the Lord is guiding me step by step towards my dream, and towards the plan He has for my life.
I'm not perfect and i'm ok with that, I make mistakes but I learn from them, I enjoy every second of my life, try not to sweat the small stuff, and most important, I try not to let people get me down. I'm not living my life for any of them, and if I believe in myself what more do I need. My life is an adventure, an unwritten epic, something to be taken a day at a time. I will enjoy every laugh, remain strong through hardships, and make the most of every moment I am blessed with, because one day it'll be gone, and in life you can't go back.
My story? Well, I guess you could say it's just beginning. :)
