Liddy Clark is a 16-year-old singer/songwriter who forges a fresh new path in country music with keep-it-real lyrics and big sonic landscapes. Her new release "Single On Valentine's Day" is a fun romp of Miranda-esque attitude and Hunter Hayes youthfulness, a definitive hallmark of a style that has led to an online Facebook following that is quickly growing by the day. "This song says it’s okay to be true to yourself and stand your ground." Says the young songwriter, "I think a lot of young people can relate to being pushed around. With "Single On Valentine's Day" I wanted to draw a line in the sand and promote sticking up for yourself." Songwriting runs in the family, as cousin Drew Womack penned 9 top-10 Billboard Country songs including Kenny Chesney's #1 smash "She's Got It All". A natural storyteller, Liddy blends the gritty lyricism of her birth state Texas with the modern sounds of Southern Florida, where she calls home. Beyond her music, Clark was recently featured in print ads for national brands American Girl and Scholastic Book Club, while also acting in an X-Factor commercial with industry innovator Simon Cowell. From a touring side, she performs throughout South Florida, recently opening for The Wailers and participating in a fundraiser supporting Wounded Warrior. The video for "Single On Valentine's Day" features some of Liddy's loves: vinyl records, vintage style, and the journal that she's used to pen her most personal lyrics. The throwback-meets-modern message goes hand in hand with Liddy's personality, and is a thread that runs through the music from her new project. The 16-year-old will be back-and-forth between Nashville's world famous Westwood Studios (Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Kenny Chesney) and the music venues all around Florida over the next year, and will release a full-length album later in 2014.
