About Liddy Clark
“These songs chart the journey I’ve been over the past few years; including loss, love, and trying to be yourself in a world where it’s sometimes easier to live on someone else’s terms” says the young songwriter.
“I think a lot of young people can relate to being pushed around, and I certainly have had my share of challenges. With this album I wanted to draw a line in the sand and promote being yourself.”
Songwriting runs in the family, as cousin Drew Womack (Sons of the Desert) penned 9 top-10 Billboard Country songs including Kenny Chesney’s #1 smash “She’s Got It All”. He will be a featured guest artist on her album. A natural storyteller, Liddy blends the gritty lyricism of her birth state Texas with the modern sounds of country music, a sound that feels like home for her.
Beyond her music, Clark has been featured in print ads for national brands American Girl and Scholastic Book Club, while also acting in an X-Factor commercial with industry innovator Simon Cowell.
From a touring side, she performs regularly throughout South Florida and has opened for The Wailers, guest opened with The Lost Trailers for Eric Paslay; performed at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch, the National Anthem for Major League Baseball, for many charities including Wounded Warrior, Make-a-Wish, Junior Achievement, and Equine Assisted Therapies; and is a regular at Singer Songwriter nights in Florida, Texas and Nashville.
The teen singer/strummer ventured back-and-forth between Nashville’s world famous Westwood Studios (Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Kenny Chesney) and Station West (Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley) for over a year, all while packing in high school classes, a Berklee College of Music Summer Program (Boston, MA), and live shows.
What resulted is an album that runs down a wide-open American road and is unapologetically announcing the arrival of a new voice in country music. In Liddy Clark’s music there is no “can’t”. There’s only live-for-today and come out swinging. So grab your headphones, plug in, push play, and start reaching for horizons that you’ve always wanted. And, why not…Liddy is.
