Lili Belle was born July 22,1993 In Nashville, Tn. She is an up-and-coming, independent, Nashville artist, who recorded at the Grammy and Dove Award-winning Oak Tree Productions. She began performing at the age of eight with the Met Singers, Lili Belle began writing her own music at 12, and this is where she has found her passion for singing and the desire to pursue a life of music. Lili Belle's talents are not limited to vocals and songwriting; she has studied the art forms of dance and theatre, and has studied alto saxophone and piano. Her love for country music began at the young age of five, her first song was "I'm Cold" a little jingle she wrote and sung about cold days.
Lili's also inspired by her early life. She was born to a hard working construction worker and homemaker; Lili is also the middle child, being one of five. Growing up in Nashville has given Lili a true sense of country pride. She spent her summers on her grandmother's farm in Cumberland City-Carlisle, Tn. Some of Lili's favorite memories were formed on the farm, where she'd help her grandmother pick strawberries and cook meals. Her grandfather was also a huge inspiration for her. Her grandfather was a veteran and he would sit with her and recite poems and tell stories from his war days. Lili also was inspired by her other grandmother Lillie Bell Booker. Grandmother Lillie was a hard working mother of five, who worked for the state of Tennessee, was a dynamic member of her church, and a performer for The White Side Singers, and the late great Mahalia Jackson. Grandmother Lillie also helped raise young Lili; she spent time singing with her and helping her grow into the young lady she is today. Lili accredits her drive for becoming a musician to her Grandmother Lillie.
Lili Belle is not only a musician, but an activist. She has traveled to Mexico, California, and etc, helping rebuild and feed the homeless and less fortunate. She finds a great peace being able to share her music and also giving back to others. In Lili's own words she expresses this,
"What's the use of living if you never give to someone else? Why be alive if life is only about yourself? I truly believe that being here(on Earth) is about learning, growing together, lifting each other up, and striving for a better future for the generations to come."
