The members of Mersi Stone all believe that “you can’t fight what feels right.” The moment Kori Jean and Scott met, they both knew they had something special together. With Kori Jean's little sister Kelsi as the final piece to their trio, they are ready to share that something special with the world. Blending Country Pop, Rock, and Folk music, this trio not only creates magic on stage, but is forging a new path with a unique harmony sound. Mersi Stone began performing together over 7 years ago in Austin Texas, however, music was in all of their lives long before that. Kori Jean and Kelsi began playing the piano and singing at 8 years of age, and used their local community and church events to begin performing in front of crowds and learning what it was like to entertain and have fun doing it. Kori Jean and Kelsi also had opportunities to perform in Colorado, New Mexico, and Oklahoma with a traveling youth performing group and made the best of the experience to continue learning about music and performance. Unbeknownst to Kori Jean and Kelsi, Scott was doing the same, only 15 miles across town. After a blind date for Kori Jean and Scott, the making of the trio had its start. The trio immediately recognized that they had great harmonies together with the family harmony of Kori Jean and Kelsi, added to the smooth sound of Scott. To hone their craft, Mersi Stone worked tirelessly around the local area and spanned out doing shows across the state of Texas. Mersi Stone recognized, however, after spending four or five years in Texas, that if they truly wanted to make country music a career they would have to move Nashville Tennessee and go “all in” on their music career. Moving to Nashville in 2011, Mersi Stone has spent time writing and recording. The results of which can be seen in their recently released EP. It has been a long road, but the group knows that good things take time. Poised to make a big splash in the Country Music scene, Mersi Stone released their first single "Can't Lose" in the spring of 2014 and recently released a “self-titled” EP on iTunes.
