"Artist Profile: Michael Lane Adams started out playing piano and honing his vocal skills in the choir at Southern Baptist Church in Sherman, Mississippi. His first break into the industry was when he played with Southern Comfort. While on the road, they opened up for various acts such as Wild Roses, etc. Michael’s next stint lasted about a decade with Still Country. During this time period, they performed at every function from benefit programs to trail rides to Christmas parties. In December 2004, Michael independently released his debut CD, “Back Roads.” Shortly thereafter, he appeared as the headlining act and performed his first single, “Meet Me Tomorrow” amongst other tunes off “Back Roads” at Philadelphia’s Annual Ham Jam Festival in Philadelphia, Mississippi. The following year, Michael began to garner more press from his local performances which led to Lynette Hanson, writer for the Jackson Free Press, mentioning him as one of the “Artist To Watch in 200"
