Mike Lunsford is the former executive vice president of RealNetworks. In 2011, he served as the company's interim chief executive officer. In 2008-09, he served as the chief executive officer of Rhapsody, a joint venture between RealNetworks and Viacom.
Prior to RealNetworks, he was the president of Earthlink and served as interim CEO, taking over from Garry Betty who died from a serious form of cancer. Lunsford was named CEO on November 21, 2006 by Earthlink's Board of Directors. Before November 21, Lunsford served as the president of voice and access for Earthlink.
Before joining EarthLink, Lunsford worked as a consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in Chicago and Scott, Madden & Associates, a management consulting firm in Raleigh, North Carolina.
He received an undergraduate degree and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of North Carolina.
