It's sometimes hard to put a finger on who Nick Autry is. Being a child born from the Raleigh, NC Alt Country scene, he's done a lot of different things since making the move to Nashville nearly a decade ago. As a songwriter, he's penned tunes with some of music's top artists and songwriters. As a producer he's worked with a some of contemporary country's favorites. Creating a left of center country sound has had the Texas music community beating on his door as well. After stumbling into the field of engineering by way of songwriting and production, Nick has worked with an eclectic group of artists from blues legend James Cotton to singer/songwriter (and heir to music royalty) Holly Williams.
In 2012, Nick teamed up with Brad Pemberton and Jon Graboff of The Cardinals, ex Black Crowe Audley Freed and Hags Haggerty to record his debut solo album, Cause and The Cure. Infused with Americana, Rock and Country, the album won over some of the toughest of music critics and was a fixture on the singer/songwriter charts for the latter part of 2012.
In April 2013 Nick announced that he was in the pre production stage of a new record to be called Colors.
