Having been raised by the Raleigh Alt-Country scene, Nick Autry has been mixing his country roots with rock n’ roll since he began writing songs as a kid. Once a teenage drummer turned front man, he has evolved into one of Nashville’s most respected talents. Not only as an artist, but as a GRAMMY nominated recording engineer, producer and songwriter. He’s spent the past couple of years working on records with legends such as James Cotton and Buddy Guy as well as younger artists like Jamie Lynn Spears and Holly Williams. When he’s not in the studio with other artists or running one of Nashville’s most prestigious recording facilities, Sound Stage Studios, you’ll find him buried in his on material.
As a solo artist, he’s following up 2012’s Cause and the Cure with an album appropriately titled, Colors. Due early this summer, Colors shows just how far Autry can go as a writer. Reaching deep into his country and rock influences, you will get a peek into the mind of a songwriter who writes because he has to write. The first single, She Ain’t Coming Back Again, is available now everywhere digital music is sold.
