Stone began his career as a series regular on Nickelodeon’s “Welcome Freshman” and as a special guest on “Clarissa Explains It All.” Soon, Mel Lewinter signed the young Stone to Universal Records, where he soon had a hit single. After signing with Warner/Chappell Nashville, Stone went on to produce and work with numerous well-known acts from the legendary Art Garfunkel to The Backstreet Boys and beyond. Stone is a founding member of the multi-platinum selling band The Backstreet Boys and co-founder/shareholder of Backstreet Boys Inc. During the scope of his career, Stone has toured worldwide with acts ranging from Britney Spears to Pink and Christina Aguilera to Little Big Town and Randy Houser. His image has been featured exclusively on 50 million General Mills cereal boxes, and his songs and likeness have been used by FremantleMedia Enterprises for their multi-million unit selling “American Idol” video game. Stone developed and produced artists and bands for his own joint venture imprint label with Columbia Records, Capitol/EMI Records, and Sony Music Japan. Stone also runs a JV publishing company with Rondor/Universal Publishing.
Stone is returning to his Southern roots with his debut country single “100 Proof Moonshine.” Written and produced by Stone, this good-time anthem has already hit #1 on the New & Active Charts and Billboard Top 50. His unique sound blends the soulful grooves of the Allman Brothers and traditional values of Hank with the rockin’ contemporary production of Jason Aldean. His debut country EP Honky Tonk Superstar, featuring 4 original tracks written and produced by Stone, was released digitally in November 2012. In 2013 Stone released the single "When The Whiskey Doesn't Work" under the name Phoenix Stone Band which received critical acclaim not only for his powerhouse vocals but also for his son writing and musical production. The single went to number 3 on European radio and is currently playing stateside on Sirius XM The Highway. When Stone is not filming his new TV show he is touring nationwide.
