About Phoenix Stone
After being signed to Warner/Chappell Nashville as a teen, industry vet Phoenix Stone has gone on to produce and work with critically acclaimed acts, including legend Art Garfunkel, newcomer Liana Conway, and the multiple platinum selling band, The Backstreet Boys. Stone is returning to his Southern roots with his debut country single “100 Proof Moonshine,” (Stonehall Entertainment/Nine North Records). Written and produced by Stone, this good-time anthem has already hit #1 on the New & Active Charts and is rapidly climbing the Billboard charts and just hit top 50 this week. His unique sound blends the soulful grooves of the Allman Brothers and traditional values of Hank with the rockin’ contemporary production of Jason Aldean. His debut country EP Honky Tonk Superstar, featuring 4 original tracks written and produced by Stone, was released digitally this year.
-Phoenix Stone’s country debut has caught the attention of Billboard magazine which featured Phoenix in the 615 Spotlight, the nationally syndicated entertainment show Better TV (airing in over 180 markets including CBS Los Angeles, CBS New York & NBC Nashville, reaching millions of viewers), the nationally syndicated lifestyle and Dish network show Daytime (airing across the country, reaching millions of viewers).
Also, acclaimed music critic Robert K. Oermann picked Phoenix for the DISCovery Award, saying, “ – Very nicely produced…Stone sings with southern gusto, and the song has loads of memorable hooks. Play it.” Stone was named one of Nashville Lifestyle’s “25 Most Beautiful People of Nashville 2012” alongside Lisa Marie Presley and CMT’s Cody Alan. Fans also were able to spot Phoenix on the red carpet at the 2012 American Country Awards in Las Vegas where he was interviewed by Fox News Channel, People magazine, Us Weekly, GAC and many more.
- Phoenix Stone first embraced his southern rock influences on the inspirational charity single, “Proud to Be (Born Again American).” Commissioned by legendary TV producer Norman Lear and produced by country hit-maker James Stroud, this track reached #11 on the Country/Christian charts with Stone donating 100% of the proceeds to American veterans and the non-profit Declare Yourself
-The music video for “100 Proof Moonshine” was shot at Malibu’s One Gun Ranch, a sprawling estate originally owned by a member of Guns N’ Roses
- As part of the single promotion, Stone has partnered with Ole Smoky® Moonshine, Tennessee’s First Legal Moonshine, for a nationwide radio tour
