Exhibiting the type of rambunctious musical abandon the Beatles pioneered on the white album but with a searing lyrical daring, Radiola straddle the genres and defy contemporary popular conventions. The result is something familiar yet wholly new with a deeply populist sensibility. Radiola's musical influences include the raw energy and melody of Neil Young, the lyricism of Bob Dylan, the fearless songwriting of Wilco and the avant-garde stylings of Jim O'Rourke. The music is probably best categorized as alt-country or alternative Americana but neither genre would really do justice to their sound. Their live shows have been hailed as 'powerful, raucous and exciting demonstrating dynamic shifts rarely seen since the 1970s'. The first official recording called 'young hip helpline ep' will be released early 2014.
