Richard Gabai's musical career with cassette to cassette overdubbing in his bedroom as a young teen. In 1982 he formed and fronted the rock a billy nu wave inspired band "The Checks." The Checks played all the clubs in LA and provided the sound track to Richard's earlier films including the Legendary "Assault of the Party Nerds" and "Virgin High." In the 90s Richard formed "Uncle Daddy" which gained a cult following in LA. More recently Richard signed a deal with UMG to release his song and video "Call of the Wild" along side a film of the same name. Richard continues to write and record songs which are used in film and television.
