About Savannah Berry
When Savannah was in the sixth grade, she got the idea that it would be fun to videotape her performances of songs and post them on YouTube for the entertainment of her family and friends. She was surprised when her very first YouTube video received a flurry of encouraging responses from people that she did not know. Her new fans would leave YouTube posts requesting that Savannah perform one of their favorite songs. With each posting the audience for her YouTube channel, SavannahSings, grew and in 2011 it took off.
That same year, the Academy of Country Music and Dick Clark Productions discovered Savannah and invited her to perform a “video duet” with country music superstars, Sugarland. Savannah enthusiastically accepted and joined Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush backstage at Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium, home of the Grand Ole Opry. They performed the duo’s #1 hit, “Stuck Like Glue” and the video was released in March 2011 to promote the ACM Awards telecast. Savannah was also invited to perform at the ACM Awards All Star Jam, which, as an unsigned artist is a very rare occurrence. She was honored that night to share the stage with some of country music’s biggest stars.
In the summer of 2012 Savannah independently released her first CD of original songs that she wrote with two of Nashville’s brightest songwriters, Zac Maloy (Carrie Underwood’s # 1 “Temporary Home”) and Kevin Griffin (Sugarland’s “Stuck Like Glue”). The self-titled CD is available on iTunes and, of course, there are “official” videos for each of the songs on Savannah’s YouTube channel!
