About The Ballachulish Hellhounds
Famous for their good natured, foot stomping live shows, The Hellhounds have been a mainstay on the UK festival scene over the last few years.
The Hellhounds have been playing most of Scotlands major festivals and venues for the last 5 years. Notable gigs played includeThe Wickerman, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival (5 times), The Oran Mor, Glasgow,Dean Castle, Kilmarnock,The Edinburgh Festival, Glasgow’s West End Festival, The Grand Old Oprey, Barfly, Nice ‘N’ Sleazys, The Eden Festival, Stereo, Glasgow, Doune The Rabbit Hole, The Perth Music Festival, The Southside Festival, Glasgow and 2 appearances at Rhythms Of The World, Hitchin, England.
The band have shared the stage with such diverse artists as Seth Lakeman, The Saw Doctors, Hayseed Dixie, Skerryvore and Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols, The Faces) who said 'these boys are a bit tasty'
In 2010, to mark the release of their debut album 'Songs From The Great Atlantic Ocean', The Hellhounds embarked on their first full UK tour, beginning in Inverness and including dates from the Highlands to Hertfordshire and everywhere in between. This included headline appearances at The West End Festival, Glasgow Americana Festival, The Edinburgh Festival Fringe, The Perth Music Festival, The Belladrum Festival and Rhythms of the World, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England.
Another year of extensive live shows and festivals followed in 2011, and in 2012 The Hellhounds released their 2nd album 'Red Eye's Motorcycle Blues' at The Tartan Heart Festival, Belladrum
In 2013, along with full another year of live shows, the band will be touring the Western Isles, Scotland for the first time.
