About The Gilded Palace of Sin

Named after the Flying Burrito Brothers’ 1969 debut, the Gilded Palace of Sin play a moody hybrid of country and rock music, dubbed “experimental-dusty-gothic-noise-country-soundtracks” by the bandmates themselves. The trio formed in 2006 in Manchester, England, following the dissolution of Pete Phythian and Michelle Lock’s previous group. With Vini Taylor rounding out the new lineup, the Gilded Palace of Sins took an eclectic approach to their music, tackling multiple genres (and multiple instruments) in order to find their unique sound. After signing with Central Control International, the group made its studio debut with the release of 2010’s You Break Our Hearts, We’ll Tear Yours Out. ~ Andrew Leahey, Rovi
