About The White Brothers

Guitar-great Clarence White (b 1944 - d 1973) and mandolinist Roland White played in the Country Boys band when Clarence was only 10 and Roland 16. In 1962 they became part of the Kentucky Colonels, a bluegrass band famous especially among a younger and city audience. Clarence White went on to become a much-in-demand session man, until killed by a drunken driver in 1973. Roland White over the years has continued performing, including with the Nashville Bluegrass Band. ~ David Vinopal, Rovi
