Tim May, the flatpicking country guitarist (not to be confused with the jazz guitarist and session player of the same name), was a member of the group Crucial Smith for 15 years, contributing to the band's albums and concert performances. Following the group's dissolution, he took on a number of projects, including touring in Patty Loveless' backup band, working on a bluegrass-gospel album with Charlie Daniels, and appearing on the Rounder Records album Moody Bluegrass: A Nashville Tribute to the Moody Blues and FGM Records' Flatpicking Favorites: Hot and Spicy. He also signed to FGM as a solo artist and, in 2005, released his debut solo album, Find My Way Back. ~ William Ruhlmann, Rovi
